FROM M1 (coming from the North).
Come off at Junction 7 and join the M10. Head for St Albans.

When the M10 finishes carry on the A414 towards Hatfield ignoring the A5183 and A1081 turnings to St Albans. When you come to two roundabouts a few metres apart, take the left turn at the second roundabout towards Smallford and Sleapshyde. (This roundabout is 4 miles from the end of the M10).

Carry on this road until the first roundabout where it joins the A1057. Turn left here towards St Albans. This is Hatfield Road. Acrewood Way is ½ a mile on the left (Wickes is on the corner). Handling Matters is at the bottom of Acrewood Way on the right.

If coming from the South: leave the M1 at junction 6a and follow the M25 to junction 22. Then follow the 'From M25' directions below.

FROM M25
Come off at Junction 22 (London Colney) and follow the A1081 towards St Albans.

At the roundabout with the A414 turn right towards Hatfield. When you come to two roundabouts a few metres apart, take the left turn at the second roundabout towards Smallford and Sleapshyde. (This roundabout is 3.4 miles from the M25). Carry on this road until the first roundabout where it joins the A1057. Turn left here towards St Albans. This is Hatfield Road. Acrewood Way is ½ a mile on the left (Wickes is on the corner). Handling Matters is at the bottom of Acrewood Way on the right.

FROM A1(M)
Come off at Junction 3 (Hatfield) and follow the A1001 towards Hatfield. At the first roundabout/set of lights by the Ramada Jarvis Hotel turn left onto the A1057 towards St Albans (this is known as the Comet roundabout). Go over two mini roundabouts and turn left into Acrewood Way just before Wickes. (Note: Acrewood Way is ½ a mile after the last roundabout). Handling Matters is at the bottom of Acrewood Way on the right.

FROM ST ALBANS
From the north end of St Peter's Street in St Albans, take the A1057 towards Hatfield at the roundabout between The Cock and The Blacksmith Arms.

Follow this road over a double mini roundabout and over the railway bridge. At the traffic lights keep in the left hand lane and continue along the A1057. Go over the next roundabout - Safeways is on the right hand side. Go over another roundabout and 2/10 of a mile from here is another double mini roundabout signing Sandridge to the left and London Colney to the right. Go straight ahead following the signs for Hatfield.

This is just over one mile from Handling Matters. Keep on this road passing Oaklands College on your left and then Homebase and Focus Do It All on your right. The turning after this on the right (with Wickes on the corner) is Acrewood Way. Handling Matters is at the bottom of Acrewood Way on the right.

BY RAIL
Thameslink operate a very good rail service from London (20 minutes) and Bedford to St Albans City Station. The station is 2.5 miles from Handling Matters and there are usually plenty of taxis outside.
